About Me

I grew up on Long Island blessed to have been surrounded by nature in her many beautiful forms, one of which was the Atlantic Ocean, hence "Atlantis Rising".

The healing arts have always held a deep fascination for me as well as great respect. I am the granddaughter of a beautiful, elegant little lady from Merida, in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula who showed me how important holistic healing is for our bodies to maintain their optimal health and longevity.

My name sake, Adina, lived for over 80 years in the hustle and bustle of New York City amidst all the airborne toxins and never believed in modern medicine. She lived to be almost 96, working 5 days per week as a social worker, and the only medicine she ever took were ones that grow from nature's bounty. All tinctures, teas etc. were concocted by Adina and her health and vibrancy abounded up until her passing in April of 2001.

It was my grandmother's vision and life long existence that propelled me to begin my training in the healing arts. I received my 1st and 2nd degrees in Usui Reiki in 1999 and 2000 respectfully, and have had miraculous results utilizing the Reiki energies for others.

I decided to take my ever growing education to the realm of massage therapy, receiving my massage practitioner certification in May of 2005 at the Mt. Shasta Institute of Holistic Therapies in Mt. Shasta, CA. I also gained my certification in Lymphatic Drainage massage at Chico's Therapy Wellness Center in the spring of 2006.

I previously worked at Sacred Mountain Retreat Spa as a massage practitioner upon their opening, staying for 14 months then moved on to open my own practice, Atlantis Rising Massage. Besides my private clientel, I am also available two days per week at the Evergreen Day Spa located within the Mt. Shasta Golf Resort in beautiful Mt. Shasta, California.

The body is designed to heal itself, I am merely here to help facilitate your own abilities to do so. I feel blessed to be able to offer my services in such a way. When a healing is given, one in turn is received!
